Prior to joining Sotheby’s team, Carlos Lopez worked in the luxury hospitality industry for 18 years.
Carlos began his career with InterContinental Hotels Group in El Salvador, where he received the outstanding award, “The Best of the Best Intercontinental Brand Front Office Manager of the Year” for Latin American.
In 2013, as the General Manager of two Choice International Hotels in El Salvador, he continued with great results and many commendations. In 2015, he was invited to move to Roatan as the General Manager of the Luxury Grand Roatan Caribbean Resort. During his 8 years at the Grand Roatan, the resort was awarded TripAdvisor’s ‘top best hotel in Honduras’ for 4 consecutive years. He became the General Manager of the new Kimpton Grand Roatan in 2023.
In 2024, he decided to dedicate his time, experience and talent to starting his own real estate development company, investment consulting firm and joined Sotheby’s International Realty team.
During his 9 years in Roatan, Carlos has gained a profound understanding of the real estate investment market and its future evolution and built an extensive list of industry contacts by cultivating meaningful relationships.
